Our beautiful small town is located in central Vermont across the Winooski River from Waterbury and about ten miles northwest of our state capital, Montpelier. The town of Duxbury is the home of Camel's Hump, Vermont's most iconic mountain peak. Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest mountain, is about twelve miles northeast.  Sugarbush and Mad River Glen ski areas are approximately 10 miles to the south. Duxbury is home to Crossett Brook Middle School and Harwood Union High School and has a population of approximately 1,300 people.
